Oh, quelle belle photo ! D'habitude, on voit plutôt les bottes de paille ronde.
Richard Standley: Merci Martine.
Once again, a beautiful image.
Richard Standley: thank you very much Michael.

I haven't seen this shape before, Richard. Hmmmm. Usually it's round or rectangular...but square?
Richard Standley: Most of them are round here but there are some uncompromising farmers around Ginnie!

Richard
It is a lovely late summer golden feast Richard
Richard Standley: This is it indeed Bill!
The colour is really good Richard. Seeing food in production is both satisfying and reassuring.
Richard Standley: Indeed Chad! Thanks.

Such neatness, Richard
Richard Standley: Thank you Lisl!
I love your shot. It is unusual to see square bales in our area. We see mostly rolled bales all done up in plastic.
Richard Standley: Most of them are round here but there are some uncompromising farmers around Marie!

This is the last step - the sun has to dry the straw.
Do you like the square type or round type? I kinda prefer the round ones cos they look better in pictures. wink
Richard Standley: I like both of them equally LC.
I've enjoyed this series Richard, over here the straw is bailed into rounds.
Richard Standley: Most of them are round here but there are some uncompromising farmers around Brian! I am pleased you enjoyed it.

That little bit, right at the top, keeps it from being a likey. For the rest, it is excellent.
Richard Standley: Many thanks Louis but I was hesitating betwen cutting the top left bale and keeping it, and i finally decided to leave it. But I believe you are right, I should have cropped the top bit.
What tidy blocks!
Richard Standley: Aren't they just Tom?
